I’ll never ever be the queens that I cosplay as, because I am Lacey. I’m myself, and I am quite proud of that. I’ve been horrendously picked on in school for trying to express myself, and these queens have really helped me. For once I’m my life, I’m actually feeling happy. The reason why I dress up like these people is because they really inspire me to stay true to myself and so I want to pay tribute to them. That’s all. Plus it’s fun, and people seem to really like this project that me and my mom started.
So if you have a problem with a person who’s just simply showing affection to the people that really make her happy, I suggest you stop and think about that comment. I’m not hurting anyone, so why should I stop? People cosplay as their favorite comic book characters, and their favorite TV show characters, so why not cosplay as these amazing queens?
I’m nothing like the other queens, and I’m nothing like any one else, because I am myself.
Make sure you tune into Hey Qween on Sept 1st..Lord knows you will have the time. If you only took your negativity energy and turned it into positivity and used it in your own life I’d imagine you wouldn’t have time to write up dumb shit like this. I feel sorry for you! <3
